Cool Belmont Goal
Belmont households produce 78% of the community carbon footprint (the daily life activities that release heat-trapping carbon dioxide pollution into the air).
Join the effort to be one of the first 500 Belmont households to determine your carbon footprint and commit to reducing it.
Impact
Through the Cool Belmont program, Belmont residents can save money and reduce the oil, natural gas, and coal used to heat, cool and power our homes and cars. Doing so will also create cleaner air and water while reducing our dependence on foreign oil.
If Belmont households collectively reduced their annual carbon output by 25%, we could save approximately 54,000 tons of carbon dioxide. That's the equivalent of 1,800 households having 0 carbon emissions...Awesome!
