MVP and May Meeting (5/7) on Biodiversity

Jean Devine and Barbara Passero, co-founders of Meadowscaping for Biodiversity, will talk about the importance of native plants in our backyards to support biodiversity and mitigate the impact of climate change at the Sustainable Belmont monthly meeting this Thursday (5/7) at 7pm via Zoom. Native plants and trees provide food for butterflies, bees, and birds; their roots absorb storm water runoff and capture carbon, providing clean water and air; and, they help cool the atmosphere.  Click here for details on how to connect via Zoom

For those who missed the Hazard Mitigation and Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Plan Zoom Session for Belmont on 4/22, please click here to view it and complete the quick survey before 5/6. It’s really important that town officials hear from residents. The town is eligible for up to $2M towards Belmont MVP projects. Thank you.
