Many Belmont residents still don’t know about Belmont Light’s Green Choice program, which lets customers opt-in to clean and renewable electricity purchasing. For as little as $6 added their Belmont Light bill each month, Belmont residents can buy renewable energy credits to offset the fossil fuel pollution resulting from some or all of their electricity use.
To learn more about Green Choice or for ways to make your home more energy efficient, go to www.belmontlight.com. Download the paper application and submit it to Belmont Light’s office at 40 Prince Street.
Want to go green faster and without leaving the comfort of your home? You can sign up online and get a tax deduction as well through Mothers Out Front and the Mass Energy Consumers Alliance’s Make the Switch program. Find out more here.
Either way, Belmont residents can make a big impact with the small step of greening their electricity. It’s never been easier to do your part to address climate change.
